During the school day, the library is open for students to check out books and have a quiet place to read or study. Teachers have the option of bringing their whole class to visit, or students can visit on their own with a pass. Ms. Bennett, the Haggard librarian, teaches library skills, offers content support, and provides research guidance for all students.

Monday through Thursday 7:45 - 4:00

Friday - 7:45  - 3:45

If students arrive at school early, they are welcome to come to the library to read or do homework. If your student would like this option, have them ask Ms. Bennett for a pass to use each morning they would like to visit.

On their webdesk, each student has an icon called Library Digital Resources.

This gives students easy access to their library account, the library catalog, and research resources like databases and encyclopedias. 

In addition, students can access Sora, PISD’s platform to access e-books and audiobooks.

Library books are due 3 weeks after checkout, and each student can have 3 books at one time. E-books and audiobooks are due 7 days after checkout, and each student can check out 2 items through Sora.
